  • Notes: This truly American fusion twist is made using authentic Belgian-style yeast and is a malt-driven beer with premium malts: Maris Otter and Pilsner Malts. For the first twist we use smoked cherry wood malt that works its magic, bringing a smoky sweetness to the caramel malts and a bit of peat flavour as well. This ale then really marries together when it hits the cask. The entire batch aging in the whiskey barrels nicely dries out the perceived sweetness of the caramel malt leaving an almost scotch like taste, with smoke, bourbon, brandy, hints of vanilla, wood, aged fruit from the Belgian yeast and some peat. A lot going on here...definitely a beer to share with friends that happens to go very nicely with cheeses or cured meats. This beer is suitable for aging.
  • Malt: Pilsner, Maris Otter Pale, Cherry Wood Smoked Malt, Caramel 60, Demerara Rough Cut Candy and Barley Flakes.
  • Boil: Perle, Sterling and Tettnang.
