Our team at Epic — from Brewers & Barrel Masters to Celler People & Packaging — do such an amazing job curating Big Bad Baptist it seemed like a sin to only brew one Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout. That’s why in 2017 we set out to challenge ourselves by brewing several variations of Big Bad Baptist’s original Coffee Bean, Cacao Nib, and Bourbon Barrel recipe. Ever since that first deviation in 2017 our biggest fans come clamoring for more! So, each year brings on new excitement for rare release variants that are only brewed once, and this year we’re proud to hoist six unique Big Bad Baptist Imperial Stout Variants.

 

Big Bad Baptist Reserve

For the 2022 release, we sourced barrels from Vapor Distilling in Boulder, Colorado. With mild chocolate and coffee flavors from the base beer, we aged the 2022 Big Bad Baptist Reserve in a mix of bourbon barrels and single-malt barrels.  

Breakfast Baptist

Rise and shine, your delicious breakfast is bottled and waiting for you! Whiskey Barrel-Aged with real Vermont maple syrup then finished with coffee and cacao nibs. So, listen to your mother and don't skip the most important beer of the day.

Epic’s cellar team has over a decade of experience perfecting world-class barrel-aged beer. Barrel Strength was refiened through this wealth of passion and experience. Using the finest wood and in-house techniques, we've created a beer with flavors only attainable through true craftsmanship and patience.

Take a trip with us to the tropics. Feel the warm sand beneath your feet and dip your toes in the sea. Relax in the shade beneath a coconut grove and indulge in this luxuriously rich brew with no worries in the world.

Rum Barrel Aged

What’s the difference between a thirsty pirate and a drunken pirate? One has a rumbling tummy, the other is a tumbling rummy! Imperial Stout 100% aged in Rum barrels.

Ginger Bread

Run, run, as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread BEER! You don’t have to be sly as a fox to get your hands on this elusive brew. We listened to grandma and used real allspice, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and vanilla, to craft this tasty treat.

 

Orange Stick

Our take on the classic holiday dessert. Big and bold flavors of chocolate and coffee are balanced elegantly by zesty orange. A lovely finale to an amazing meal with friends and family.

Big Bad Baptist

For the third year in a row our classic, award winning, big and bold, original Big Bad Baptist will be available in 12oz, 4 pack cans in most markets and 22oz bottles everywhere. We spent the off-season continuing to improve our most recognized beer and we know you’ll think the 2021 release is the best yet.
