Brown Rice Ale Release #6

Brewed May 22, 2012. Packaged June 1, 2012.

Light and crisp, this second 2012 offering of Brown Rice Ale tasts like a nutty caramel square. We fermented this release at 68 degrees, or about 2 degrees cooler than a normal ale, to bring out the lager-like crispness and finish from the kolsch yeast. Try this unique ale next to release 5 to see what a difference 2 degrees make!

Malts

Ultra Premium Maris Otter Malt, Briess 6-Row Malt, Organic Brown Rice, Caramel Malt, Briess 2-Row Carapils, Briess Aromatic Malt, Weyermann Acidulated Malt 

Hops

Mt. Hood, Saaz, Willamette

5.6% ABV
