Epic Brewing Company’s Salt Lake City brewery is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic individual to take a hands-on and leadership role operating and managing Epic’s Microbiology and Sensory Quality Assurance Program which encompasses multiple brewing locations. The QA Manager is responsible for defining, organizing, and refining the following: microbiological sampling and analysis, shelf life studies, beer library management, sensory panel programs, consumer QA inquires, sour beer program microbiology, and wastewater monitoring. This position works at the guidance and under the direction of: the ownership, the head brewer, and the operations manager.
The QA Manager works closely with the Operations Manager, Head Brewer, Lead Cellarmen, and the Packaging Supervisor at each brewery location to foster solid working relations with all team members involved in the making and selling of over 40 different beer styles and three different types of packaging.
Requirements: BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, or closely related field. Knowledge of and deep interest in beer and its related biology. Travel between brewery locations including but not limited to Denver, Colorado and Santa Barbara, CA is required. Professional laboratory experience a plus.
